Viareggio

In Viareggio, we met an old Spider friend, Andrea Pieraccini. He was in Limburg in 1997 with his family. Good to see you again Andrea. We met in Limburg, Holland in 1998 at the International Alfaspider meeting.

Andrea and his nice family were kind enough to invite us for a whole day in Viareggio. Eating and drinking, swimming in the blue Mediterranean salty water. It was a really enjoyable day. Thank you all. Lucca

June 20. . . .and in Lucca, another Spider friend from Hawaii. David Ross and his family. We have been web friends since 1997

We agreed to meet at the church in Lucca. It turned out that there were 68 churches, but we managed thanks to the cellular mobile phones.

June 22. The other "B" in B&B means breakfast. Here we are, Wille, Stina and Thomas enjoying the specialties of Toscana. Berit and Thomas are Duetto friends from Stockholm. Nice persons. Two round-tail Duetto Spiders + our wifes = Four beauties Passo di Cipollaio

Driving on the very scenic roads, we found this abandoned castle. I must admit that I would like to be there.

The Carrarra marble is famous. This Scania lorry was driving like Clay Regazzoni up and down the mountain . . . when he met another Scania on its way up the mountain. One feels very small in a Spider when these two trucks are in sight.

A nice espresso and a few cookies made in Italy. The pastries and sweets are most tempting. Delicious! We found new interesting views every minute. Too bad we did not have three months instead of three weeks in Italy. Viareggio

By the beach in Viareggio, very warm indeed. Not so many Italian car makes there,

Pisa

In Pisa, there is a leaning tower. One of the regular places for any tourist to see. I was car-sitting while the others went for a quick view.

Molazzana

We went to the manual car-wash and it was really fun to see the crew taking care of our Spiders.

The result was OK, right! We had
